Inspection Spaces

How Hosts can set up dedicated Child Spaces for free or low-cost site viewings

This article is for Hosts who want to let Customers book time slots to inspect a Space before making a formal booking.

Enabling the Inspection Space setting tailors the booking flow for site viewings. It simplifies the booking bar, hides the inspection listing from general search results, and removes standard child space interface elements from the public page.

Note: The Inspection Space setting can only be enabled on Child Spaces.

How to Enable an Inspection Space

  1. Go to Spaces Management in your dashboard and select the three dots (actions button)
  2. Click Create an Inspection Space.
  3. Select Confirm.

Recommended Configuration for Inspection Spaces

  • Rate: Free ($0).
  • Important Details: Specify duration (e.g., "15-Minute Inspections Only").
  • Number of Attendees: 0 to 2 people.
  • Minimum / Maximum Booking Duration: 15 to 30 minutes.
  • Maximum Daily Charge: None.
  • Time Increment: Default (15 minutes).
  • Bump in / Bump out: None.
  • Cancellation Policy: Hirer may cancel anytime prior to receive a full refund.
  • Instant Book: Optional.
  • Booking Slots: Enable if you want to allow multiple simultaneous inspection appointments.
  • Disable Booking Reason: Optional.
  • Opening Times: Limit availability to specific time slots when staff are available on site to conduct viewings.
