How to extend your booking if you need more time

If your booking is ending soon but you’re not quite done, here’s how to ask for extra time in the space.

Use this process if:

  • You’re currently in a booking and realise you need more time

  • You want to extend your booking before or during your original booking window

Steps to Request More Time

  1. Message the Host directly

    Use the SpacetoCo messaging tool to get in touch with your Host as soon as possible. Here’s how to send a message →

  2. Wait for Host confirmation

    The Host will let you know if an extension is possible. Extensions are at their discretion and depend on whether there are other bookings or transition times scheduled.

  3. Complete payment if needed

    If your Host approves the extension, they may amend the booking so that you can pay for the additional time via the platform.

Q: What if the Host doesn’t respond in time?

A: If your request is urgent and you’re not getting a reply, it’s best to finish within your booked time. Overstaying may impact the next booking and could lead to a penalty or bad experience for others.
