Kiosk Mode

Display live daily Space availability on iPads and monitors outside meeting rooms and venues

This article is for Hosts who want to display daily Space availability on on-site screens, iPads, or tablets.

Kiosk Mode presents a simplified, daily schedule view for display screens positioned outside meeting rooms, halls, or community facilities.

Example

How to Access Kiosk Mode

  1. Go to Spaces Management in your dashboard.
  2. Select the Space you wish to display.
  3. Click the Kiosk Mode tab in the side menu.

Note: A new browser tab will open displaying Kiosk Mode for that Space.

Key Features and Functionality

  • Live availability updates: The screen auto-refreshes every 15 minutes to display updated bookings and performs a full refresh overnight to apply system updates.
  • Status color coding: Displays green when the Space is available and switches to red when a booking is active.
  • QR code bookings: Hirers scan an on-screen QR code with their smartphone to open the standard booking page directly.
  • Quick Space switching: Use the menu in the top-right corner to switch between different listed Spaces without re-entering URLs.
  • Minimised touch interface: Designed with minimal touch controls to reduce screen handling.

Tip:  To secure your iPad display on-site, use Apple's Guided Access feature to disable screen touch and physical buttons. Learn how to set up Guided Access on iPadOS. When setting up touch exclusion zones, leave the top-right corner clear if staff need to switch Spaces.
