Restrict access to booking your space during certain periods using a unique password
Sometimes, certain periods during the year need to be restricted in some way for customers making a booking. While Manual Bookings do have their place in blocking availability, there are specific scenarios where restricting the ability to book (rather than blocking availability) is warranted. Examples include:
- Busy high-demand periods where bookings may be limited to local residents only
- Reserving a day for someone who's reached out
Under space settings for each space, you'll find a new 'Invite Only Period' in the Nitty Gritty section.
Here you'll find the option to:
- Set a unique password
- Set a reason
- Start Date & End Date
- Ability to 'expire' this rule on a certain date
This then creates a simple block on the space page, asking users to input the password when attempting to book during that period:
Note: This only affects the space page and casual bookings, and has no bearing on the regular booking workflow.
